Business and professional associations
AFAEMME is an association of organisations of women entrepreneurs and businesswomen from the Mediterranean region that is currently formed by 43 organisations in 22 countries. It is notable for its inter-regional nature that involves member organisations from the same country. In addition to its role as a platform for international projects, AFAEMME also provides advice to both men and women, and offers guidance, training, networking, seminars, workshops and conferences mainly to the women entrepreneurs and businesswomen from the member organisations and even, given its scope, to any women entrepreneurs, businesswomen, managers and executives who wish to use tools provided by AFAEMME to meet their objectives. AFAEMME initiatives therefore include European Community-funded international gender projects, and the entire experience of all the projects, advice and consultancy it has undertaken over the last 20 years.
