The UPF is a new, modern public university established in 1990 to become a benchmark university in Europe. Acclaimed by the Ministry of Education as a Campus of International Excellence, the UPF’s ratings for teaching, research and internationalisation confirm its position as a benchmark centre in the Spanish and European system. In recent years the University has also begun to make a big impact on the international league tables.

The mission of this unit is to promote the transfer of technologies and knowledge generated at the University by providing support to researchers in their interaction with society and in enhancing the value of the results of their research. It also fosters entrepreneurial spirit among the university community by providing entrepreneurs with a series of resources and services to help them successfully establish a company.
