The IRTA is a Government of Catalonia research institute, attached to the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, Food and the Natural Environment. The mission of the IRTA is to contribute to the modernisation, competitiveness and sustainable development of the agricultural, food and aquaculture sectors, to the supply of healthy, quality foods to consumers and, in general, to improving people’s welfare.
