Nova is an independent, not-for-profit association that promotes social innovation to generate new practices and models that prompt society to change towards a more habitable world for everyone. Nova confides in an active citizenry that practices social innovation and wishes to initiate far-reaching social transformation. Since it was founded in 1999, Nova has collaborated with other institutions that undertake projects of social innovation, active non-violence and participatory and transparent alternatives to the system. Its projects are divided into 4 core areas: Active non-violence, Alternatives to the System, Participation and transparency and Espai Novalab.
