Barcelona Provincial Council is a local government institution that encourages public progress and welfare by operating directly in cooperation with councils. From the Department of Local Economic Development it promotes the economic development of municipalities based on innovation, on development of sustainable and competitive territorial models, on the encouragement of economic activity, quality of employment and the promotion of tourism in the territory.

This service provides support for local institutions in policies to promote business activity (entrepreneurs and companies) by offering economic and technical assistance in the form of advice, tools and training.
