Col·legi de Periodistes de Catalunya

The Association of Journalists of Catalonia is a professional organisation intended for public service that was founded in 1985 upon the approval of a Law in the Parliament of Catalonia.
The purpose of the “Home of Catalan Journalists’ is to further improve the conditions in which journalists perform their work as a guarantee in global defence of the rights of citizens to the freedoms of expression and information; defence of the rights of citizens to receive truthful, independent, proven and ethically irrefutable information; and provision of professional, care services and services in other areas to its associates as an organised collective.
