The Girona Provincial Council supports the 221 municipalities in the region to ensure quality public services and promote local economic development. Through PiDEL, it coordinates programs to stimulate the economy, strengthen the business sector, foster entrepreneurship, and generate quality employment.
Under the CO-CREIX brand, it drives initiatives to support the creation and consolidation of companies, including the social and solidarity economy, through guidance, technical advice, and training. The CO-Digital Office, a free service provided by the Council, assists self-employed professionals, micro-enterprises, and small and medium-sized enterprises in digital transformation: digital maturity assessment, personalized advice, training, implementation of digital solutions, and processing of grants such as the Kit Digital. The Local Economic Promotion Services Network (XSLPE) facilitates cooperation between municipalities and entities for projects in business premises, industrial estates, and commerce. Overall, the Girona Provincial Council provides comprehensive technical and economic support, socio-economic information, access to grants, and territorial knowledge tools to address the present and future challenges of Girona’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
